Who we are

At Aero Phi Solutions, aviation isn’t theory—it’s lived experience. Founded by Alex Rao, Aero Phi brings nearly two decades of frontline leadership in airport operations, airline management, and advanced UAS integration.

I’ve been where you are. From FAA Part 139 inspections to TSA 1542 compliance programs, Aero Phi has operated at the intersection of compliance, safety, and real-world problem-solving.

The approach is simple: no fluff, no cookie-cutter templates. Every airport has a unique layout, culture, and set of challenges. We deliver solutions that fit your operation—not someone else’s.

Our Mission

Aero Phi Solutions exists to give airports, agencies, and aviation stakeholders clarity, continuity, and confidence. With deep regulatory knowledge and practical field experience, we help you succeed under pressure, prepare for audits, and build systems that last.

Leading the airport’s participation in the FAA’s National Drone Safety Awareness Week meant more than a campaign—it was about building a culture of safe and responsible UAS operations in our community. By partnering with El Paso Drone Hive, we connected aviation regulations with real-world awareness, showing how compliance and safety begin long before takeoff.

With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, winter weather may not seem like an El Paso concern. But Part 139 requires complete readiness for all conditions—and that’s the standard we uphold. Maintaining a Snow and Ice Control Plan isn’t just checking a box; it’s about proving that safety is built on discipline, foresight, and preparation for worst-case scenarios, no matter the environment.

DJI’s spotlight on El Paso BVLOS operations and drone dock integration shows where the industry is headed. Having contributed to that initiative, I bring clients not only experience, but also a future-ready perspective on navigating emerging UAS technology and regulations.

These results don’t happen by chance; they are the outcome of daily vigilance, accountability, and a culture built around compliance and operational excellence.

Mentorship has always been part of my role in aviation. Partnering with Upward Bound, I’ve introduced students to the opportunities within airport operations and aviation careers. Helping young people connect classroom learning with real-world applications reflects the same principle I bring to consulting: turning complex systems into practical pathways forward.
